Supernova 1998ey in NGC 7080
Here are two images of SN 1998ey in NGC 7080.
The discovery image (Dec.5th) was stretched quite a lot and only
just visible above the noise. It was a 30 sec. exposure with a 30cm
f/6.3 SCT and Starlight Xpress ccd in bright Moonlight and mist.
I was very lucky to have detected it under these conditons as it was
at mag. 17.0 or a little fainter. Both of these images were linear
stretched.
