Amateur Reiki Kushida found this one at Yatsugatake South Base
Observatory, it her 8th supernova discovery.
NGC 3184 is a fairly
close Mag 10.3 galaxy, only about half as distant as the Virgo cluster.
Supernova 1999gi is
a dimmer type II (which very in maximum brightness), but this one
could get as bright as Mag 13.2.
I normally wait until I have several images of an SN before I start
a page for it, but the amount of data on this SN is quickly passing
the amount of data I got for 1999em
Web pages dedicated to this SN.
The following is a list of images of this SN, in chronological order. Click on the name in the "observer" column to see the image. Times and dates are in UT unless otherwise noted. If you know of any others, please tell me!
