Here is a JPEG of an images I took on 12/25/97. (File ngc5012.jpg is from the DSS. I included it for comparison when I send this same zip file to freinds in the Valley of the Moon Observatory Assoc. here is Sonoma County.)
The SN1997eg is only about 4 arcsecs from a 13th mag foreground star. This was taken about 4AM on the morning of Dec.26 using a C14 @ f4 and a CB245 camera. Ten 60 sec. exposures were stacked.
