sn05df_i.jpg Discovered by Robert Evans (Austrailia).   The brightest supernova of the year so far.   This marks the 3rd time that Robert Evans has discovered a supernova in this very southern galaxy, and he does it visually.   This is a somewhat unusual type Ia found young, the other two were type IIs.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the Ted Dobosz's image.   This supernova is in the Constellation Reticulum.
