Supernova 2005af in NGC 4945

sn05af_i.jpg Discovered by CEAMIG/REA Supernovae Search (Brazil).   This one is VERY southern (-49.5°), but very bright.   As another bright type II it may be with us for some time.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the discovery image.   This supernova is in the Constellation Centaurus.
