Supernovae 2018cow in CGCG 137-068

image Discovered by ATLAS (USA).   This one is a Type Ib (was Ic-BL).   This object was originally classified as a galactic nova very close to the very small (Mag 15.6) galaxy CGCG 137-068 it was later reclassified as a type Ic, making this object almost 8 times as bright as it's host galaxy. This supernova is in the Constellation Hercules.
