Supernovae 2012cx in PGC 59729
This page is devoted to information on Supernova 2012cx in PGC 59729. Basic information on this SN, including the last reported brightness, on this Supernova can be found on the main page. Information on the original web pages for many of these images can be found on the links web page.
Discovered by
Ella Sanders, R. Kot and D. Coffin
(USA).
This one a Type Ia.
It's about 3" further north and 3" further east than Type IIP
2011bi.
Ella's search is very unique.
She only goes after galaxies that have had
a recent discovery.
Lately she has had a great deal of success, more than
the statistics would say she would.
We have a Photometry reference image
made by Odd Trondal.
This supernova is in the
Constellation Hercules.
