Supernova 2011ja in NGC 4945

This page is devoted to information on 2011ja in NGC 4945.   Basic information on this SN, including the last reported brightness, on this Supernova can be found on the main page.   Information on the original web pages for many of these images can be found on the links web page.

Discovered by Berto Monard (South Africa).   This one is a bright Type IIP found young, in a very nearby galaxy.   We have a Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.   This supernova is in the Constellation Centarus.

If anybody has any images of NGC 4945 taken in around the discovery date (2011/12/18) I would be interested in them.   We have a neutrino detection which may have been caused by this event.
