Supernova 2011ja in NGC 4945

image Discovered by Berto Monard (South Africa).   This one is a bright Type IIP found young, in a very nearby galaxy.   We have a Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.   This supernova is in the Constellation Centarus.

If anybody has any images of NGC 4945 taken in around the discovery date (2011/12/18) I would be interested in them.   We have a neutrino detection which may have been caused by this event.
