Supernova 2005az in NGC 4961

sn05az_i.jpg Discovered by J. C. Wheeler et. el from University of Texas (USA).   A bright type Ic.   This is a supernova that changed galaxies.   In some catalogs NGC 4960 (the originally reported host galaxy) is not the same object as NGC 4961.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the discovery image.   This supernova is in the Constellation Coma Berenices.
