Supernova 2003hv in NGC 1201

sn03hv_i.gif Another LOTOSS discovery.   It was found on an image taken on 2003/09/09.5, checking the LOTOSS logs, it also showed up on an image taken 2003/09/01.5, when it was only Mag 13.0.   This one is a type Ia, when the spectrum was taken it was at maximum light.  This supernova outshines all of the other SN found this year by about 1 magnitude.  We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the LOTOSS discovery image.  This supernova is in the Constellation Fornax.
