Supernova 2003gs in NGC 936

sn03gs_i.jpg Discovered visually by amateur Robert Evans of Austrailia. This is a subluminous type Ia found at about maximum light in a nearby galaxy. We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from Ted Dobosz's confirmation image.
