Monthly Meeting at RIT

Location:
RIT Gosnell Science Building
Date/Time:
03/05/2010 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Speakers:

RIT astronomer Mike Richmond, our main speaker from February, brings us a short talk on (deep breath) "The Supernova That Hasn't Happened Yet and People Shouldn't Care About But Do By Mistake" (phew!)

After the break, UR's Dr. Alice Quillen will tell us about the history and application of "Numerical Simulations in Astronomy".

Come early, starting at 7 for conversation and snacks.. Our meetings are always free and open to the public. Why not stop in and listen? And if you're able, join us for after meeting conversation and food at MacGregor's on the north side of Jefferson Road, just east of RIT.

Directions:

In the Gosnell Science Building at RIT, 1st floor lecture hall room A300

We've got an on-line map. From the home page, click "about us" at the top right, then "monthly meetings" at the left.

At RIT, take the outer loop road all the way around the back of the campus to parking lot "U". Park there, walk to the school end of the lot and then left past the bus stop. Gosnell building is the one straight past the bus stop; has a little "control tower" looking structure on top. Go in the first floor door; we're in the first room on the right. See you there!
